Retirement Call For Old Politicians – IPAC

The Inter Parties Advisory Council (IPAC) has advised political old brigades to prepare their minds for retirement from active politics or be pushed out of the system.

Speaking with newsmen during a dinner in Gusau on Tuesday, chairman of Zamfara State wing of the committee, Dani Bushfires, said it had become very imperative for the old brigades to leave the corridors of power as their time was long overdue.

According to him, the committee had adopted the not-too-young-to rule policy, stating that they should give the young ones the chance to pilot the country.

Yusuf maintained that his committee would work hard to ensure that the old brigades were pushed out of the political arena so as to give the new breed the chance to try and manage the affairs of the country.

The chairman noted that the masses were tired of the long domination of the old brigades with their endless promises that had not produced any beneficial result.

He, however, noted that the entire world had turned into a global village, adding that Nigeria had not joined the global village in spite of the huge resources that God has endowed the country with.

According to Bushfires, Nigeria has since been wondering in the wilderness searching for a reliable formula to recover from the deeper problems that the old brigades had plunged the country into.

He called on Nigerians to wake up from their slumber and join the band wagon for a positive change.

Speaking further, the chairman stated that his committee would continue to embark on public enlightenment campaign for public awareness so that Nigerians would stop selling their votes and conscience for what they could eat for short time.

Bushfires noted that Nigeria had for long been thrown into a waste paper basket due to misrule and mismanagement of the resources of the country.

He explained that his committee would not fold its hands and watch the country sink so deeply as if no other person was there to salvage it.
